How to login using Tera Term

This page explains how to login to the supercomputing system using Tera Term.

If you have not complete SSH key registration, please complete it before reading this page.

Start Tera Term.
Put “cms-ssh.sc.imr.tohoku.ac.jp” and click “OK” button.


Input your UserID (example:user01), your passphrase, and the location of your private key into “Private key file:”.
Also check “Use RSA/DSA/ECDSA/ED25519 key to log in”, then click “OK” button.


Login is successful if the prompt appears like below.


Log in to the super.sc.imr.tohoku.ac.jp by running “ssh super.sc.imr.tohoku.ac.jp”.
At the first login, please enter the initial password, which we have sent you by email, as Current Password.
Otherwise, enter the password you set.
If the prompt is displayed like below, the login is successful.
